Thyme to Grow And Cook Workshop

This event delighted all of our senses with a variety of fresh herbs providing beauty, scents, textures and flavors!

A day filled with excellent educational programs including landscaping with herbs by Debbie Boutelier, cooking with herbs by Deanne Allegro, drying herbs by Emily Ferko, and a show and tell of herb and plant varieties by Jason Powell along with the opportunity to purchase Petals from the Past plants. A wealth of information and insights were gained during this comprehensive herb program.

 Participants enjoyed a meal of cucumber mint soup, fall herb and baby kale salad with grilled chicken skewer, rosemary focaccia bread, herb butter, pesto, sparkling limeade with mint and lemon, and thyme and rosemary cupcakes! Attendees received a recipe booklet of the lunch menu and a description of each by Janell Diggs.
